It has come to my attention that, irrespective of the fact that we live in a digital-first world, there are still many students opting for the printed copies of their theses, and this has made me curious about the reasons behind it. A few people mentioned that a book in print seems more like an official document, others, however, prefer to have something physical as a reward after several months of hard work. A colleague who is planning to edit my thesis Toronto even remarked that printing gave the entire project a “finished” feel. What is your viewpoint? Do you like the printed thesis for the sake of tradition, for meeting the requirements, or for personal satisfaction?
